Snæfellsnes Peninsula | Private Tour
Would you like to enjoy the breathtaking volcanoes, glaciers and unspoiled nature of Thorsmork, the hiker’s paradise?
Visit Snæfellsnes with one of our fun local guides
and discover the picturesque landscapes around the volcano Snæfellsjökull. This area is now a National Park, but it is the setting of the Jules Verne novel “Journey to the Center of the Earth”.
There are weird basalt rock formations along the trail between Arnarstapi and Hellnar. Blowholes, birds and sheer cliffs of lava. One of the nicest formations is an arch or gateway located at the trail’s head name Gatklettur.
Shaped by the ocean, the glacier, and centuries of volcanic activity with lava fields, fjords, waterfalls and cute fishing villages, the Snæfellsnes Peninsula is certainly ‘Iceland in Miniature’. You can click on the map icons for pictures and details on the different locations we will visit.
Contact us if you can’t find availability for your traveling date. We may be able to arrange for an extra departure, if the minimum is met.
There will be a number of secret stops as well, but we can’t tell you about it. “Only Guide knows” …
