Discover Iceland owns and operates two houses, one located on the Golden Circle near Geysir and the other located in the north of Iceland near Akureyri. As a part of adventure tour around Iceland we can offer a stay in these houses for up to 10 people. Icelanders call these houses summer houses and they are a large part of what Icelanders love to do in their country. Both houses offer luxury stay with on-side private hot tub which can be great in the winter while waiting for the Northern Lights to show. Miðhúsaskógur - Golden Circle
The Lodge is in the area of the Golden Circle near Geysir and offers 4 rooms in 2 houses. Accommodates up to 10 people. Has outside hot tub which can be amazing to stay in. A great idea is to BBQ together in the house as it has everything to do that. If you rather would like to go to the nearest restaurants we can recommend places such as Friðheimar, Mika, Efstidalur, Úthlíð or the Geysir restaurants.
Akureyri - The North
Akureyri Cottage is located across the Eyjafjordur fjord from Akureyri and offers breathtaking views to Akureyri and nearby mountains. The house has 2 large bedrooms, each takes 4 people + 2 people folding bed. The house has outside jacuzzi and fireplace. The house offers fully equipped kitchen and a large BBQ/Grill. For restaurants it is only 7 minute drive from Akureyri which has rich variety of restaurants. The house is located close to Forest Lagoon (Skógarböðin) nature baths.
