If you can afford it,... read more this is the way to see rural Iceland in all its beauty and variety, without having to worry about road conditions ( we went in November), navigating and driving. The jeep also allows you to go off the main paved roads and off the beaten path to places you would not get to or find on your own. Georg, our guide, took us to many beautiful "secret" places that are not in the guidebooks, some don't have names, but just as beautiful if not more so than the standard sights. Every day there was a little adventure or surprise that blew away my wife and I. If you're going to see rural Iceland in all its natural beauty beyond the main tourist sights, I highly recommend this company for a private customized tour with a superjeep. This is one of the few tour companies in the world that I have used more than once and would not hesitate to book with them again ( my wife and I have already been talking about a repeat Iceland trip sometime down the line).
