So when we finally... read more had the opportunity to re-book I searched a bunch of tour companies because we wanted to make the most out of our time in Iceland and see as much as we could in a short time without the trip feeling too hectic. We ended up choosing Discover Iceland and although it was one of the more expensive companies that I found, it ended up being worth every penny for the experience! Everything from start to finish was wonderful. The communication through email with Georg and Karen was always prompt and they were able to answer all of my questions so I knew what to expect. We booked a 3 day tour including the Golden Circle, South Coast, Jokulsarlon and Diamond Beach. This included all of our hotels and airport transfers. Someone was waiting for us at the airport to take us to our hotel. Our Driver/Guide, (also named Georg) was absolutely AMAZING!!!!!! I would book this trip all over again because of Georg. He was always punctual, and made sure that we always had ample time at each spot without ever feeling rushed but still being able to squeeze in all the sights for each day. He knew all of the good spots to hit so we could avoid the crowds whenever possbile, always managed to find the best parking spaces and showed us lots of hidden spots as well that were awesome for more photo ops. He shared lots of fascinating information and stories about this beautiful and stunning County and was always friendly and personable. By the time we finished our tour, Georg felt like family. Having a private and personalized tour was the best decision ever. We felt completely submersed in all of the beauty of Iceland and fell in love with it.
