(which is important if you're in a car for nearly 10 hrs/day together, lol)

From the bizarre pseudocraters and the amazing geological history of Iceland to the breathtaking beauty of waterfalls, the Southern Coast and the overall landscape, I learned so much and it's all because Mattias is so well informed and proud of his stunning country.

I'd highly recommend doing the Golden Circle and the Southern Coast tour. The sheer amount of history you'll learn in these tours - from civilizations to geological processes - is mind boggling.

Georg and Karen also arranged for me to do the Katla Ice Cave sidetrip and while it was absolutely fascinating - and seeing that terrain is simply breathtaking - the cave itself was disappointing. And I'm sure it's because it's summer. So if you're there this summer, you might want to skip the ice cave unless you simply want to go for the experience.

I was a little worried at first about the amount of money I was spending but every single dime was well worth it. I'd do it again in a heartbeat.
